Bond Insights™ — About This Feature

Bond Insights™ is the feature we're most excited about — and the one we're most careful with. Reading a dog's emotional state is a real, hard problem, and we'd rather tell you honestly what it does and doesn't do than over-promise. Here's the full picture.

What Bond Insights™ does

Bond Insights™ helps you interpret your dog's communication. It listens to vocalisations and pairs them with the context you provide, then suggests one of six behavioural states — playful, alert, greeting, stress, fear, or territorial. Crucially, every reading also teaches you the body-language signals behind that state and what you can do next. The goal is not to put a label on your dog — it's to help you learn to read them.

Current status: preview

Bond Insights™ is currently in preview. Full audio analysis launches with the complete app. During preview, readings are illustrative examples that demonstrate how the feature works — they are not yet a live, trained analysis of your individual dog. We label this clearly inside the app, every time. Our early access members are helping us shape and validate the analysis before it goes live.

We made this choice deliberately. It would be easy to present preview output as if it were real. We don't, because a tool you trust with your dog should never mislead you about what it actually knows.

What Bond Insights™ is not

It is not a medical diagnosis.
It is not veterinary advice or a substitute for a veterinary behaviourist.
It is not a substitute for a certified professional dog trainer.
It is not a tool for diagnosing pain, illness, or medical conditions.

A note on pain and distress

Vocalisation can be a sign of physical pain, not just emotion. Bond Insights™ cannot detect or diagnose pain. If your dog is vocalising in a way that's new, persistent, or accompanied by physical symptoms — limping, loss of appetite, lethargy, or visible discomfort — please contact a licensed veterinarian. Trust your instincts about your own dog over any app.

Serious behavioural concerns

For aggression, severe anxiety, resource guarding, or any behaviour that puts a person or animal at risk, consult a certified professional dog trainer or a veterinary behaviourist directly. Bond is a guide for everyday training and understanding — it is not an intervention for serious or dangerous behaviour.

Your audio, your control

Audio is only ever captured while you are actively using Bond Insights™. It is analysed in the moment and discarded immediately — never stored, sold, or shared. You grant microphone access explicitly, and you can withdraw it at any time. See our Privacy Policy for the full data-handling detail.
